September 10, 2024— Dumalag Vocational-Technical School (DVTS) recently held a meet and greet event to welcome TESDA VI Regional Director Ramon Evan T. Ruiz. The purpose of the gathering was to introduce Dir. Ruiz to the DVTS community and present the school’s ongoing projects and future plans.

The event began with a warm welcome from Revic C. Frebaldos, EdD, Vocational School Administrator III of DVTS. Dr. Frebaldos expressed her gratitude to RD Ruiz for his visit and assured that DVTS would fully support his administration.

Following the welcome, Rica F. Gallaza, RGC, Guidance Counselor III, presented an overview of DVTS’s accomplishments and plans. Ms. Jonalyn F. Gustilo, the acting HRMO, then introduced the DVTS faculty and staff.

In his message, RD Ruiz emphasized the value of time management and teamwork, saying, "Together Everyone Achieves More." He stressed that effective teamwork and collaboration are keys to success. As a team leader, he aims to create an environment in which everyone can work together to achieve a common goal.

Dir. Ruiz then met with the TTI Advisory Council (TAC), which includes former DVTS Vocational School Administrator and entrepreneur Dr. Zenaida Fajardo (TAC Chairman), Mr. Juan Faduga (government sector representative), Mr. Krystof Ray Carillo and Dr. Jinky Lyn Contreras (academe sector representatives), and Ms. Elma Barcelona (economic sector representative). The council discussed DVTS’s future development and strategies for improvement.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly built lactation room was one of the highlights of the event. This facility is designed to cater both internal clients (trainees and DVTS employees) and external clients (community members who use DVTS services). This facility provides a supportive space for nursing mothers.

The event concluded with a campus walk-through, where Dir. Ruiz toured the school’s facilities and interacted with the DVTS learners.
